Quick, honest answers to the questions first-time guests ask about booking and staying at a Moinabad farmhouse.

Below are quick, honest answers to the questions first-timers ask us most.

For a full walkthrough of the booking steps, see the Moinabad farmhouse booking guide. This page is the quick-answer companion to it.

About Moinabad itself

Where exactly is Moinabad?

Moinabad is a mandal in Ranga Reddy district on Hyderabad's western edge, along the Chevella road, just past the Outer Ring Road. It has the largest cluster of private farmhouses near the city, spread across villages such as Aziz Nagar, Yethbarpally, Kanakamamidi, Surangal and Tolkatta.

Why do so many people choose Moinabad?

It is close enough for a day trip, yet feels properly rural, with mango orchards, open fields and quiet village roads. The twin reservoirs, Osman Sagar at Gandipet and Himayat Sagar, and the Chilkur Balaji temple are nearby.

How long does it take to get there?

From Gachibowli or the Financial District it is usually roughly 30–45 minutes outside peak traffic. Friday evenings and long weekends can double that. Routes from each part of the city are in our guide on how to reach Moinabad from Hyderabad.

About the farmhouse

Is the whole farmhouse really ours?

Yes. Each farmhouse is booked as a whole: the house, pool and lawns are only for your group for the booked time. You will not share the pool with strangers.

Who looks after us there?

Many farmhouses have a caretaker on site who hands over the property, shows you around and helps with basic needs. It is not a hotel with room service, so plan food and supplies yourself, or ask about meals as an add-on.

What facilities can I expect?

Many farmhouses have a private pool, lawns, AC bedrooms, a kitchen and parking; some add a kids' pool, box cricket, a BBQ setup, a party speaker, Wi-Fi or games. None of these are guaranteed everywhere, so check each farmhouse page.

About price and payment

How much does a farmhouse cost?

It depends on the farmhouse, the date and your group size. Fridays, Saturdays and holidays cost more than Monday to Thursday. The price covers a set number of guests, with extra guests charged per person. You see the full price once you pick a date; the Moinabad farmhouse price list gives an overview.

Are there extra charges?

Add-ons such as a bonfire, barbecue or meals are usually priced separately. Some farmhouses take a refundable deposit. Read the farmhouse page so nothing surprises you on the day.

How do I pay?

You can reserve and pay online by UPI, card or net banking. Or you can send a booking request, which is free and does not reserve the farmhouse, and get confirmed on WhatsApp.

What if my plans change?

Read the cancellation policy before paying, and check any farmhouse-specific terms on its page.

About the stay

What are check-in and check-out times?

They vary by farmhouse. Usually check-in is in the early afternoon and check-out in the late morning; day outings have their own slot. The farmhouse page has the exact times.

What do I need to carry?

A government photo ID for every adult, swimwear, towels if not provided, medicines, mosquito repellent and drinking water. See our list of what to pack for a farmhouse night.

Can we play music?

Usually outdoors until a set evening time, then indoors at low volume. Rules vary by farmhouse and matter for the neighbours.

Can we bring our own food, a cook or decorations?

Outside food, cooks, caterers and decorations are allowed at many farmhouses, but not all. Ask on WhatsApp or check the house rules first.

Is alcohol allowed?

That depends on the farmhouse's rules, and events serving alcohol may need permissions under local rules. If it is allowed, keep it responsible, keep drinkers out of the pool, and never drink and drive.

Are pets allowed?

Some farmhouses welcome pets; many do not. Look for it on the farmhouse page or ask before booking.

About practical worries

What about power cuts?

Village power cuts happen. Many farmhouses have backup; ask what it runs (lights only, or AC and the pool pump too).

Are there shops nearby?

Shops near the farmhouses tend to be small. Stock up in the city or in Moinabad town before you turn off onto the village road.

Is it easy to get a cab back?

Cabs to Moinabad are easy to book; a ride back from a village can take longer. Arrange your return in advance.

Is Moinabad safe for a family or group stay?

Plenty of Hyderabad families, friend groups and office teams stay here. Sensible habits help: share your live location, avoid very late drives on dark village roads, and keep the caretaker's number handy. Our post on whether Moinabad is safe for a farmhouse stay goes deeper.

What is there to do nearby?

Chilkur Balaji, Gandipet, Himayat Sagar and Mrugavani National Park are close. See our guide to places to visit near Moinabad.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to pay to send a booking request?

No. A booking request is free, but it does not hold the farmhouse; the dates are only secured once the booking is confirmed and paid.

Can a small group of four book a large farmhouse?

Yes, you book the whole property regardless of group size; just check the price for your date, as it covers a set number of guests.

Are Moinabad farmhouses open on weekdays?

Yes, and Monday to Thursday dates usually cost less than Fridays, Saturdays and holidays.

Is Moinabad good for a first farmhouse trip from Hyderabad?

Yes. It is the largest farmhouse cluster near the city and close enough for a day outing or one-night stay, which makes it an easy first trip.
