Moinabad Addresses, Pin Codes and Finding a Farmhouse
· 5 min read· by Moinabad Farmhouses Team

A Moinabad farmhouse address has five layers and only one of them finds the gate. How pin codes, survey numbers and village names work, and what to send your guests instead.
A Moinabad farmhouse address usually reads something like this: a farmhouse name, a survey number, the village, "Moinabad mandal, Ranga Reddy district", and a pin code. It is a perfectly valid postal address and almost useless for finding a gate at 9 pm. The pin code covers a wide area, the survey number is a land record rather than a road, and some village names are shared with other places in Telangana.
What actually gets you to the door is the location pin on the farmhouse page plus a caretaker's phone number. Here is how each part of the address works, what it can and cannot tell you, and how to pass it on to guests and cab drivers so nobody ends up circling a mango orchard.
The parts of a Moinabad farmhouse address
Read from the smallest unit to the largest, a typical address has five layers:
- Farmhouse name. Often a family name or an aspirational word on the gate. Useful once you are in the right lane, because that is what the caretaker and the neighbours know it by.
- Survey number. A plot identifier from the land records. It tells you which parcel the farmhouse stands on, not how to reach it.
- Village. Aziz Nagar, Yethbarpally, Tolkatta, Surangal, Kanakamamidi, Amdapur, Bakaram, Venkatapur and others. This is the layer that matters most for navigation.
- Mandal and district. Moinabad mandal, Ranga Reddy district. Always include both when you share the address.
- Pin code. A postal sorting code that several villages share.

Why the pin code will not find the gate
Pin codes exist for the postal network: they route a letter to a post office, after which a postman who knows the area does the rest. A single pin code in a rural mandal can cover several villages and a large spread of farmland. Typing it into a map app drops you at the centre of that area, which may be a crossroads with nothing around it. Treat the pin code as something you need for a courier or a cake delivery form, not as a destination. This post deliberately does not list pin codes; use the one shown on your farmhouse page or booking confirmation when a form asks for it, because that is the one the owner uses.
Village, mandal, district: use all three
Some Moinabad village names also belong to villages elsewhere in Telangana. If you type only the village name into a map, you can be offered a place in a completely different district, and the route will look plausible for the first ten minutes. Always search as "village, Moinabad" or add "Ranga Reddy", and sanity-check that the route heads west along the Chevella road past the ORR rather than somewhere else entirely. The guide to the villages of Moinabad mandal lists the names you should expect to see.
Survey numbers and gate names
Survey numbers help owners, lawyers and the revenue office; they do not help your driver. What does help on the last stretch is the name painted on the gate and any landmark the caretaker gives you: a temple, a water tank, a school, a fork in the lane. Ask for these when you confirm the booking, and ask for a daylight photo of the gate if you will arrive after dark. If the farmhouse is in a village such as Kanakamamidi or Surangal, the village hub page shows the farmhouses there with live distances, which is a quick way to see roughly where in the mandal you are heading.
The location pin is the real address
Every farmhouse page carries a map pin, and that pin is the piece of the address worth trusting. Open it once at home to see the route, and once again just before you set off so the app picks the right roads for the hour. If the pin seems to land on the main road rather than inside a lane, that is a sign the owner has placed it at the turn-off; the post on checking a farmhouse location pin explains how to confirm it before you commit. The booking guide covers where the pin and the caretaker's number appear in your confirmation.
Sharing the address with guests and drivers
When the booking is yours but twenty people are driving in separately, send one tidy message rather than a screenshot of the listing. A format that works:
| Line | What to include |
|---|---|
| Name | Farmhouse name exactly as painted on the gate |
| Village | Village name, then "Moinabad mandal, Ranga Reddy district" |
| Map | The location pin link from the farmhouse page |
| Last turn | The landmark the caretaker gave you for the lane |
| Phone | Caretaker's number plus your own, in case the lane has weak signal |
| Timing | Check-in time and the hour by which you want everyone in, before dark |
For cab bookings, enter the pin link as the destination, not the postal address; many app searches will not recognise a survey number at all. Tell the driver it is a farmhouse off the Chevella road so they are not surprised by the lane, and warn them that the return pickup from a village can take longer to arrive than a city ride.
Deliveries, cakes and couriers
This is where the postal address earns its keep. A cake shop or a courier form wants a structured address with a pin code, and the location pin alone will not satisfy it. Give them the full five layers, then add the pin link and the caretaker's number in the notes, because the rider will still need a human at the gate. Deliveries to village lanes take longer than the app estimates, so order earlier than you would in the city.
Arriving after dark
Village lanes in Moinabad can be unlit, and a gate that is obvious at 4 pm is invisible at 9 pm. If any of your group is arriving late, ask the caretaker to keep the gate light on and to expect them. The night arrival tips post has a fuller checklist. If something still does not add up, message the team on WhatsApp rather than guessing at forks in the road.
Before you book
Open the farmhouse's pin from your own home, note the village, and keep the address lines above handy for your group. Then browse Moinabad farmhouses and check live dates on the ones whose location suits the people who will be driving.

Frequently asked questions
Can I find a Moinabad farmhouse using its pin code?
Not reliably. A pin code in a rural mandal covers several villages and a lot of farmland, so a map app drops you at the centre of that area. Use the location pin on the farmhouse page instead and keep the pin code for courier or delivery forms.
What is the survey number in a farmhouse address?
It identifies the land parcel in the revenue records. It is useful for owners and paperwork but means nothing to a map app or a cab driver; ask the caretaker for a landmark at the lane instead.
Why does the map show a different village with the same name?
Some village names are shared with villages elsewhere in Telangana. Always search with 'Moinabad' or 'Ranga Reddy' added, and check that the route heads west along the Chevella road past the ORR.
What should I send guests who are driving separately?
The farmhouse name as painted on the gate, the village plus 'Moinabad mandal, Ranga Reddy district', the location pin link, the caretaker's number, the landmark for the last turn and the time you want everyone in before dark.
