Do Moinabad Farmhouses Have Hot Water, AC and Towels?
· 5 min read· by Moinabad Farmhouses Team
Most Moinabad farmhouses have geysers, AC bedrooms and basic linen, but how much of each varies. Here is how to read the amenities list and what to carry.
Most Moinabad farmhouses have hot water in the bathrooms, AC in the bedrooms and a basic set of towels and bedsheets. What varies is how much of each: one geyser or one in every bathroom, AC in every room or only the bedrooms, towels for the stated guest count or a few spare. Each farmhouse page lists its amenities, and reading that list carefully is the difference between a comfortable night and a cold shower at 7 am with fifteen people waiting.
Below is what "hot water", "AC" and "linen provided" usually mean in practice, where the gaps are, and what to pack to cover them.
Hot water: geysers, solar heaters and power cuts
The common setup is a storage geyser in each attached bathroom, sometimes only in the bedrooms and not in the common bathroom near the pool. A storage geyser takes a while to heat and holds enough for a couple of showers before it runs lukewarm, which matters when a group of twenty all want to bathe before breakfast.
- Switch it on early. Turn the geyser on when you wake up, not when you walk into the bathroom.
- Stagger showers. Two bathrooms running at once is fine; one bathroom with six people queuing is where the hot water runs out.
- Solar heaters at some farmhouses give plenty of hot water by afternoon but can be tepid early on a winter morning.
- Village power cuts stop an electric geyser, and backup power at many farmhouses is sized for lights, fans and the fridge, not for heating water. In the pleasant November to February months, when you most want a hot shower, plan one around the power rather than the other way round. Our post on handling power cuts at a Moinabad farmhouse has the practical routine.
For a day outing, hot water barely matters; a rinse after the pool is usually all anyone wants. For a night stay with elders or small children, ask specifically how many bathrooms have geysers.
AC: bedrooms yes, hall maybe, outdoors never
"AC bedrooms" means exactly that. The living hall, where many of a large group end up sleeping on mattresses, often has ceiling fans or an air cooler instead. In the hot months from March to June that difference is felt at 2 am.
- Count bedrooms against people. A 4 BHK farmhouse with twenty guests means at least eight people are not in an AC room unless the hall is cooled too.
- Ask whether the hall has AC, and whether backup power runs the ACs. At many farmhouses the backup does not run every AC at once.
- In November to February you may not switch the AC on at all; a blanket matters more than a remote.
- Outdoor areas, box cricket courts and pool decks rely on the breeze. Moinabad evenings are noticeably cooler than the city, which helps.
Towels, bedsheets and what is usually missing
Linen is where expectations and reality drift apart most. The usual pattern is a bedsheet, pillows and a blanket per bed, with bath towels for roughly the number of beds, not for every guest at full capacity. Pool towels are rarely provided, and toiletries beyond a bar of soap are uncommon.
| Item | Usually provided | Sometimes provided | Carry your own |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bedsheets and pillows per bed | Yes | Extra sheets for mattresses on the hall floor | |
| Blankets | Per bed | Extra on request in winter | One per person if you sleep cold |
| Bath towels | Per bed or per room | Per guest at managed farmhouses | Yes, if your group exceeds the bed count |
| Pool towels | Rarely | Yes, always | |
| Soap | Often a bar | Shampoo, toothpaste, body wash | |
| Hair dryer, iron | At some luxury farmhouses | Yes | |
| Mosquito repellent | Plug-in units in bedrooms | Yes, plus spray for the lawn |
How to read the amenities list before you book
Amenity labels are short by necessity, so the same word hides different setups. A few questions on WhatsApp take a minute and remove the guesswork:
- How many bathrooms have geysers, and is there a geyser in the bathroom near the pool?
- Does the living hall have AC, and how many ACs run on backup power?
- How many towels and blankets are kept, and can extra be arranged for a larger group?
- Is drinking water provided, or should we bring cans?
The honest answers differ by price band. A luxury farmhouse in Moinabad is more likely to have geysers everywhere, AC in the hall and towels per guest. A budget farmhouse may have everything you need but in smaller quantities, which is fine once you know and pack accordingly.
A short packing list for the comfort gaps
- One pool towel and one bath towel per person if the group is large
- Toiletries, including a small bar of soap for the common bathroom
- A light blanket or shawl per person from November to February; Moinabad mornings are cooler than the city
- Flip-flops for wet bathroom floors and the pool deck
- A torch and a power bank in case the backup does not cover your room
- Mosquito repellent for the evening on the lawn

Frequently asked questions
Is hot water available in all bathrooms at a Moinabad farmhouse?
Not always. Many farmhouses have geysers in the attached bathrooms but not in the common bathroom near the pool. Ask how many bathrooms have geysers if hot showers matter to your group.
Does the AC work during a power cut?
It depends on the backup. Many farmhouses have an inverter or generator sized for lights, fans and the fridge; some can run one or two ACs. Ask the owner what the backup covers before a summer night stay.
Are towels provided for every guest?
Usually towels are kept per bed or per room rather than per guest, and pool towels are rarely provided. Carry a pool towel each and extra bath towels if your group is larger than the bed count.
Should we bring blankets in winter?
A blanket per bed is usually provided, but extra guests sleeping in the hall may need their own. From November to February Moinabad nights are cooler than Hyderabad, so a shawl or light blanket per person is a safe addition.
